This weekend; sheesh, where do I even begin?
I was so thankful when friday rolled around and ended my 40 hour stretch of baking my eyes under florescent lights. Oh how I lust the sunshine that’s teasing me outside the office window.
Saturday began with going to the annual REI garage sale where all the thrifty adventurers of the world stake out for first dibs on all of the things that were returned throughout the year, but with just enough wear that they couldn’t put them back out on the floor. Clint left with a pair of those new webbed shoes for running/hiking that were originally $125 for $33, and a nice North Face down vest. Even though I left empty handed (coming an hour late already had the place completely cleared out), I’m sure that I will be back soon enough. I’m more than positive that when I get older, and I’m not scrapping by every month to be able to eat and support my Nike shorts obsession, I will be spending a lot of my paychecks on equipment for all the intense activities I plan on partaking in. I made a list of all the things I want to do when I graduate, and after getting past the first few bullet points being backpacking across europe, sky diving, kayaking across the ocean, hiking a mountain, and learning how to surf, I began to worry that my biggest expense will end up being the medical bill for all the injuries that will inevitably happen to me. So worth it, though.
Chelsea, one of my very close room mates, flew in from Wyoming this week after visiting home. I missed her a lot while she was gone, and was so happy to pick her up from the airport. Our friend, Janette, joined us for some Yogilicious. For those of you who haven’t gone- you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s on cooper, past walmart in that new shopping center. Indulge yourself on 98% fat-free self-serve frozen yogurt in every flavor from red velvet cake to acai berry. mmm!
Sunday; On my way to church, I got in a fender-bender. I’m really bummed about it, and worried financially, but I have found that whenever I’m at my lowest, I grow the most, so I’m trying to stay positive. I have too much to be thankful for to worry about my bent bumper.
Anyways, busy week is coming up, but I’ll try to pop in and keep you guys posted. Thank you so much for reading.
